BRIANDA FITZ-JAMES STUART is an illustrator and pattern designer. Art is second nature to her, and painting is her great calling. She is sensitive and creative, which perhaps lends her work its dreamlike quality. Her images are dominated by flora, fauna, archetypal characters, and mythological allusions.

Brianda has always felt drawn to the visual arts and to art in general. She studied Fashion Design at the Istituto Europeo di Design, and worked in NYC for painter Paul Balmer while studying drawing and painting for a year at The Art Students League of New York.

Brianda is a multidisciplinary artist who has collaborated with countless brands across all kinds of media: from illustrations for Gucci, to designing a watch for Swatch, creating packaging for Zara, painting ceramics, creating prints for various fashion brands, and illustrating books. Her designs can also be enjoyed on such special pieces as rugs, wallpapers, and even very special commissions like furniture.

Her work as a painter and illustrator has been the subject of various exhibitions. Not only in Spain, where she has exhibited in Madrid and Mallorca, but her work has also gone on to be exhibited in Tokyo.
