Whoever said “Out with the old, in with the new” didn’t know the possibility of a talent like LARA LARS has to merge past, present and future. Her pseudorealistic fantasy collages combine retro aesthetics, pop culture and science fiction turning into productions where the main axis is the woman.
Her art work started as a joke with friends, photoshopping the image of several UFOs into a photograph of the Gran Vía in Vigo, her hometown. This awakened the interest of many on social media and consequently she decided to dust off her vintage photos archive and have fun by creating many worlds that are yet to discover.
Surprised but most of all grateful for the warm welcome her work has received, se has formed part of exhibitions in Barcelona, Santiago, Madrid, Pontevedra and Sevilla.
